It has been a busy year for me, with lots going on in the world of Dragon Masters! Here’s a quick update of what’s happening, and instructions for how to make a Dragon Stone. That would make a great gift for your own Dragon Master, don’t you think?

What I Did This Summer

This summer, Worm and I went on the Scholastic Summer Reading Road Trip. We met Dragon Masters fans in Utah, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Arizona! Worm enjoyed all of the plane rides, even though transporting is a lot faster.

This summer, I also moved to a new home in the Catskill Mountains of New York. I have a new snail mail address if you’d like to send me letters or pictures:

PO Box 368
Delhi, NY 13753

Delhi is the setting of a wonderful children’s book, My Side of the Mountain by Jean Craighead George. I re-read it again when I moved here, and recognized some of the places in the book!

Dragon Masters 11: Shine of the Silver Dragon

In September, I celebrated the release of Dragon Masters 11: Shine of the Silver Dragon. I was so happy when it made the USA Today Bestseller List! This book starts off an exciting four-part story in which the Dragon Masters have to stop Maldred from controlling a powerful dragon called the Naga.

Available to order from IndieboundAmazon, Barnes and Noble and wherever books are sold.

Dragon Masters12: Twelve Days of Dragon Masters

Dragon Masters 12: Treasure of the Gold Dragon, is coming out on December 26! Instead of doing a Dragon-a-Day countdown, this time I will be celebrating 12 Days of Dragon Masters, beginning December 3. There will be 12 days of giveaways of books and stickers, just in time for Christmas. I will also be making a special announcement about the future of Dragon Masters. To participate, make sure you visit and like my Facebook page: www.facebook.com/AuthorTraceyWest

Available to order from IndieboundAmazon, Barnes and Noble and wherever books are sold.

Make a Dragon Stone

You don’t have to travel to the Land of Pyramids to make a Dragon Stone—just the craft store! Thanks to Linda, the mom of this Dragon Masters fan, for the idea. Use green oven-baked clay to make the shape of a dragon stone. Poke a hole through it with a kabob stick. With adult supervision, bake the stone according to the package instructions. When it cools, cover it with gold glitter glue. When the glue dries, put a cord through the hole.

If you have a Dragon Masters craft that you’ve come up with, I’d love to feature it on this website! Email the deets to purewest@verizon.net.

That’s all for now…

Thanks for reading this newsletter! Best wishes to all of you for a very happy holiday season.

Keep on reading!
